Montgomery Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Stay the night at Point Mallard Campground, and there are plenty of folks from Decatur here at Montgomery Lake. Athens Golf & Country Club is a good golf course nearby, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Athens is a nice place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. It's a tremendous idea to go to Collier Branch, it's next to Montgomery Lake; Quality Inn Athens is a glorious location to get some rest. And that's not all you can do here at Montgomery Lake. At Montgomery Lake throughout the days of summer highs are in the 90's with overnight lows in the 60's.
