This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Willow Point Campground Center, and if you get bored of McGouirk Lake you could also pop by nearby H Neely Henry Lake. McGouirk Lake is not the only place nearby, Yarbroughs Lake is a nearby lake; Boiling Springs is a picturesque place to go to while you're at McGouirk Lake. At McGouirk Lake during       the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for McGouirk Lake. Man, is there lots of enjoyable things to do in close proximity to McGouirk Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Choccolocco Creek offers some great whitewater; a tremendous nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Lincoln. Whitewater                  paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Salt Creek, and getting to Ohatchee Creek from McGouirk Lake is painless. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Dogwood Meadows Campground is a splendid spot to camp, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can visit McGouirk Dam.
