     Days Inn Shorter is a fine spot to get some rest; paddling on Tallapoosa River is so much fun. A delightful close by hotel is Scottish Inns Pike Road, and Capital City RV Park is a great campground nearby. Be careful coming to McClurkin Lake Number Three, you might not ever want to return back home again. Leisure Isle is a delightful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not pop by McClurkin Lake Number Two near McClurkin  
   Lake Number Three, and lots of folks from Montgomery come here.
High temperatures at McClurkin Lake Number Three all through the long summer days are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at McClurkin Lake Number Three sink into the 30's.
