You can take a little tour to Marshall McCay Lake Dam if you're here at McCay Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Microtel Inn and Suites Gardendale is a glorious choice. Summertime at McCay Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at McCay Lake are in the 20's. All the water falling down from the       sky makes McCay Lake a wet site; most of the rain falls through March, and the driest month of the year is October. Man, is there a load of cool stuff to do near McCay Lake. Drift down the rapids of Mill Creek in a kayak, and you're sure to run into some friendly people from Cullman here.
