     Get wet paddling on Tallapoosa River, and Maier Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Whispering Springs Campground is a good spot to camp nearby. A lake nearby is Nolen Davis Lake Number One, and paddling on Coosa River is so much fun. Maier Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here; October is the month with the least moisture. Stay the night at Leisure Isle, and Key West Inn  
   Wetumpka is a fine place to get some rest.
This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Maier Lake, you could also have a look at close by Nolen Davis Lake Number Two, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Montgomery is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Maier Lake. Maier Lake Dam is worth taking a look at if you're here, and Maier Lake is a place with many
