This lake is now Sun Lake and is a private community lake for residents. It used to be one of the best public pay access lakes in the state for large bass. Was more of a spring fed swamp back then and has been blasted and manicured with apartments and homes (waterfront) The old spring house and the original dam are still in place. ... round. We are on Highway 72 which is part of the Appalachian Trail. We purchased the park in 2007 and have added many of the amenities. This is a family owned campground. Every month we have a campground cookout. We also have activities planned for the major holidays.
At Parnell Creek RV Park we have 34 level gravel sites. There are 14 sites with 30 amp Full Hook Up and 8 sites with 50 amp Full Hook Up. We also have 10 sites with 30 amp Water/Electric and 2 site with 50 amp Water/Electric. We also have 2 full service cabins and 3 Rustic Cabins, plus tenting areas.
We are centrally located near Scottsboro, Grant, Huntsville and Guntersville. There are many lakes to fish in nearby and the fish are plentiful. We are also close to Cathedral Caverns, Unclaimed Baggage, NASA Space Center, Robert Trent Jones Golf Courses, Old McDonalds Petting Zoo and many other attractions.
