Comfort Inn Scottsboro is a great place to get some rest, and Long Pond is not far at all from Scottsboro. Summer at Long Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and the overnight is somewhat colder of course, typically in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Long Pond temperatures dip to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Cotton Mountain       is clearly visible from Long Pond; Goosepond Colony Park and Camp is a nice local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Spring Cove is a pleasant place to explore close by. Lakes? Sure, Reese Pond is close at hand. All the water falling down from the sky makes Long Pond a wet site; all through March this area sees the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Long Pond.                  Blue Spring is a splendid local attraction; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Beasley Pond. Float down the rapids of Honeycomb Creek in a kayak, and Crawford RV Park is a good campground nearby.
