A nice spot to camp here at Long Pond is Goosepond Colony Park and Camp, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Scottsboro is a tremendous choice. Long Pond gets lots of water; most of the rain falls all through March, and the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. You can see       Cotton Mountain from Long Pond; there's whitewater on Honeycomb Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. Blue Spring is always fun to check out; not far from Long Pond you'll hit upon Beasley Pond which is a scenic lake. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Blue Spring Cove is a wonderful place to explore; there are plenty of folks from Scottsboro here. Summertime highs at Long Pond generally tend to be in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to                  the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and night lows through the winter for Long Pond tend to be in the 20's.
