     If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express CLANTON is a glorious choice, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Weogufka Creek. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Inn, and if you've had enough of Lightfoot Lake, Woodward Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Horse Stomp Campground, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Lightfoot Dam. Lightfoot Lake gets a large amount of water; most of the rain falls  
   through March, and the driest month of the year is October.
You're in all probability keen on lakes, Mitchell Lake is one of those close by; you can run the rapids of Walnut Creek. Lightfoot Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. West Mountain Creek is a stream that you may stumble upon while here. There's so much to do here at Lightfoot Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Langford Farm RV Campground is a splendid place
 
               for that.

I am planning a trip to Weogufka Creek in a couple of weeks. Any info. regarding trees down or other obstructions would be helpful. We will do County Rd. 15 to Low Water Bridge only....Put in at coosa county management 119 and get out at the bridge is a good short trip with lots of sights......
