The beauty of Lee County Public Lake is reason enough to stop by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lee County Public Lake a wet place; March is when you get the most rain here; October on the other hand is the driest. If you came to camp Halawaka Campgrounds and Grocery is a tremendous place to do that, and if you need a spot to stay Econo Lodge Opelika is a great choice.
An exciting thing to explore close to Lee County Public Lake is Lee County

Public Lake Dam; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Mulberry Creek. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Not far from Lee County Public Lake, you'll find Pope Lake Number Two which is a picturesque lake, and this is a popular location for folks from Auburn-Opelika. There's so much to do here at Lee County Public Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Baker's Trailer Park and Campground is a splendid
site for that, and Opelika-Days Inn is a splendid spot to get some rest.
Summertime highs at Lee County Public Lake commonly tend to be in the 90's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Lee County Public Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Lee County Public Lake, for example Pope Lake Number One; there are some delightful whitewater spots on Little Uchee.
