Lake Whitwood sees pretty high levels of rain; March is the wettest month with most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Lake Whitwood. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Lake Whitwood       tend to be in the 30's. If you come at the right time of year, Salt Creek offers some good whitewater; don't leave Lake Whitwood without first paying a visit to Drunkards Spring. This lake is so wonderful. Cheaha Creek is next to Lake Whitwood and is always a joy to explore, and Pond Springs is a nearby lake that you could                  pop by.
