    The beauty of Lake Whatley is reason enough to stop by. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Lake Whatley. Dry warm beds await you at Hilton Garden Inn; if you need a place to stay Best Western Auburn/Opelika Inn is a splendid choice. If you're here at Lake Whatley, you could check out Robinson Creek, and do have a look at Johnson Lake Dam if you're here.
Lake Whatley frequently gets a large amount of rainfall;
 
   March is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is October. Summertime highs at Lake Whatley frequently tend to be in the 90's, and the nighttime is a tad chillier of course, mostly in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 50's, and night lows throughout the winter for Lake Whatley tend to be in the 30's. There's whitewater on Sougahatchee Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. Lakes are great; Davis Lake is a lake that's in  
               close proximity to Lake Whatley.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Little Uchee, and you can stay the night at Bar-w RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Whatley is a magnificent location to camp, Baker's Trailer Park and Campground is a magnificent location, and lots of folks from Auburn-Opelika come here.
