Lake Whatley gets much water; the wettest month of the year is frequently March, that's the one that rains the most while October is regularly the driest month. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites OPELIKA AUBURN is a tremendous spot to get some rest, and the scenery at Johnson Lake Dam is beautiful. Why not camp at Chewacla State Park while you're here at Lake Whatley. There are       plenty of people from Auburn-Opelika here at Lake Whatley, and if you get bored of Lake Whatley you could also visit nearby Johnson Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Whatley. You can run the rapids of Little Uchee near Lake Whatley; Baker's Trailer Park and Campground is a magnificent local campground. High temperatures at Lake Whatley during the summer months are in the 90's with night lows in the 60's.
