Lake Wancoole is a quite wet place usually with lots of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; October is when it's the driest. Here at Lake Wancoole there are plenty of folks from Talladega-Sylacauga, and why not pop by Wancoole Dam since you're here. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Gulf Creek, and Lake Wancoole       is not the only location close by, Lake Lewis is a close by lake. Just can't get enough of Lake Wancoole. If you come at the right time of year, Choccolocco Creek offers some pleasant whitewater, and camping is available at Powell's Campground. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PELL CITY is a tremendous location to get some rest, and getting to Fannin Branch from Lake Wancoole is simple. Summer at Lake Wancoole arrives with high temperatures in the 80's,                  and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Lake Wancoole sink into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
