    Beautiful Lake Tate has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Lake Tate you get some good water scenery at Tate Dam; why not camp at Cedar Creek Campground since you're here at Lake Tate. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lanes Lake is near Lake Tate, and the wonderful folks of Talladega-Sylacauga like to hang out nearby. De Soto Caverns Park is a fine local campground, and whitewater paddling is nice on Hatchet Creek.
The high level of rainfall
 
   makes Lake Tate a rather wet place; March is the month that gets the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Lake Tate. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SYLACAUGA, and after a long day outdoors Jameson Inn Sylacauga is a good site to spend a night or two. Paddling on Weogufka Creek is so much fun, and you're probably interested  
               in lakes, Marble City Lake is one of those close by.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Lake Tate. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 50's; night lows at Lake Tate through the wintertime typically sink into the 30's.

I am planning a trip to Weogufka Creek in a couple of weeks. Any info. regarding trees down or other obstructions would be helpful. We will do County Rd. 15 to Low Water Bridge only....Put in at coosa county management 119 and get out at the bridge is a good short trip with lots of sights......
