Lake Russell sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during the month of March you get the most rain around here while October is ordinarily the driest month. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Russell has to offer, you can camp at Bar-w RV Park, and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tallapoosa                  River. There's so much to do here at Lake Russell that you need to camp here for a while, Leisure Time Campgrounds is a great place for that, and at Lake Russell you always meet someone from Tuskegee. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Sleep Inn & Suites is a great choice, and Fin and Feather Lake is a glorious lake close by.
