You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Lake Retreat. Gallant Branch is a perfect local stream. The high level of rain makes Lake Retreat a reasonably wet place; the month with most of the rain is March, and September is when it's the driest. After a long day outdoors Value Place Bessemer is a perfect location to spend a night or       two; in all probability you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Woodland Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Greystone Inn and Suites is a splendid place to get some rest, and if you've had enough of Lake Retreat, Lake Paradise is close by. There's always Lake Retreat Dam to explore right next door to Lake Retreat, and a good place to camp here at Lake Retreat is Glen Iris Campground. All through the days of summer highs here                  at Lake Retreat reach the 90's. Summer night lows fall down to the 60's.
