Why not check out Raynagua Dam if you're here; you'll meet a lot of folks from Daphne-Fairhope here. At Lake Raynagua during the days of summer highs are in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 70's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 60's while Lake Raynagua night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. A lake close by is Bertolli Lake, and Lake Raynagua is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Summerdale RV Park is a splendid local campground. is so wonderful. La Quinta Inn AND Suites Daphne is a great place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Lake Raynagua that you need to camp here for a while, Wales West Train/Grdn Recreational Vehicle Resort is a magnificent site for that.

Bird Watchers & Nature Lovers - Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is both permanent and temporary home for endangered species and migratory birds. Over 4,000 acres of beach dunes, scrub dunes, fresh water marsh, salt water marsh, and Maritime forest make up the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. This coastal Refuge provides refuge for the endangered loggerhead sea turtle, the endangered American alligator, and the rare gopher tortoise. It is part of the migration route of the monarch butterfly, and is also known for its more than 120 species of birds - making it a paradise for bird watchers. Along with birding, the refuge offers opportunities for hiking, swimming, photography, collecting sea shells, and boating. Fishermen enjoy both fresh and saltwater fishing.
