If you came to camp Payne Lake Eastside Campground is a great site to do that; let's not forget Piney Ridge Branch which is a stream that you may come across while here. This lake is so wonderful. Lakeland Farms Dam Number One is worth stopping at while you're here; you'll stumble on a       beautiful lake called Lake Mary. Do stop by W A Hughes Lake close to Lake Miriam, it's a striking lake, and nearby you discover the Payne Lake Nature Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. There's so much to do here at Lake Miriam that you need to camp here for a while, Spillway Campground is a magnificent place for that, and if you need a place to stay Ramada Inn Selma AL is a glorious choice. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Lake Miriam, and all through                  summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Lake Miriam throughout the wintertime regularly dip into the 30's.
