The high level of rain makes Lake Joy a rather wet place; most of the rain falls during March while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There are plenty of people from Talladega-Sylacauga here at Lake Joy, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Sylacauga is a good       spot to spend a night or two. Not far from Lake Joy you acquire some nice water scenery at Brown Dam, and you can run the rapids of Weogufka Creek. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Lake Joy. At Lake Joy you can catch a glimpse of Tanyard Hill; Lake Joy is a great spot to visit for more than one day, De Soto Caverns Park is a great spot to camp nearby.
