     On a perfect day at Lake Gloria you can take a hike along the Payne Lake Nature Trail; you could always discover Beals Bar. Lake Gloria is a quite wet place typically with much rain; March is the month that gets the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Lake Gloria, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. For the duration of the winter this place gets  
   highs in the 50's with temperatures at Lake Gloria dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There's always Lake Gloria Dam to stop at right next door to Lake Gloria, and you're sure to come across some cheerful folks from Tuscaloosa here.

The East Campground is primitive ... no potable water and one porta-pottie in the inner circle loop. This side might be closed for a while in 2009 for renovations. I would contact them before coming....
