Dry warm beds await you at Royal Inn Motel, and there are some good whitewater spots on Choccolocco Creek. Lake Contreras sees pretty high levels of rainfall; March is when you get the most rain here, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Why not camp at Willow Point Campground Center while you're here at Lake Contreras; get yourself into a kayak and hit Salt Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Odum Trail, and do check out McCullars

| | Lake Number 1, it's a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Indian Oaks Golf Course is close by, and McCullars Lake Number Two is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Lake Contreras has it all. site to camp. After a long day outdoors The Victoria Country Inn is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two, and you'll perhaps meet some people from Anniston-Oxford here. Pelham Range Dam is a pretty place close to Lake Contreras;
if you want a little side spree, try Clarkes Gap. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Lake Contreras get into the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Through the winter highs are usually in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Lake Contreras.
