     If you need a place to stay Days Inn Shorter is a delightful choice, and this is a popular spot for folks from Tuskegee. Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center is a fine location to get some rest, and a nice location for whitewater paddling is Stone Creek. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Carrona Number One a wet place; the wettest month of the year is commonly March, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is October.  
   And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do in the vicinity of Lake Carrona Number One.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Whispering Springs Campground if you're here at Lake Carrona Number One, and do visit Lake Carrona Number Two, it's a striking lake.
