Any time is a perfect time at Killough Lake if you like the outdoors. After a long day outdoors Key West Inn-Childersburg is a great location to spend a night or two, and why not camp at De Soto Caverns Park since you're here at Killough Lake. Lots of folks from Talladega-Sylacauga come to Killough Lake; Childersburg-Days Inn is a good place to get some rest. Whitewater paddling is glorious on       Talladega Creek; if you've had enough of Killough Lake, Jackson Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. At Killough Lake you can see Mallory Mountain, and Choccolocco Creek has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by. Killough Lake gets lots of water; March is the month that gets the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime highs at Killough Lake commonly tend to be in the 90's with night lows in the 60's. Highs during the winter                  are regularly in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Killough Lake. Harkins Dam is not far at all from Killough Lake; if you came for an overnight stay Logan Landing Campground is a perfect place to camp. Take a little spree to Hudson Branch if you're here at Killough Lake, naturally you could also go to Lake Donahoo while you're here; it's not far at all.
