     A pleasant spot for whitewater paddling near Kauls Lake is Weogufka Creek; lakes are such calm locations, why not check out Thomas Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Kauls Lake a wet spot; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while October is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Kauls Lake, for example Lake Tate; there are plenty of folks from Talladega-Sylacauga here at Kauls  
   Lake. All the outdoors fun stuff right next door to Kauls Lake will keep you coming back persistently. Dry warm beds await you at Jameson Inn Sylacauga, and if you came for an overnight stay Cedar Creek Campground is a magnificent location to camp.
At Kauls Lake throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 90's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 50's, and night lows at Kauls Lake through
 
               the winter commonly descend into the 30's. Horse Stomp Campground is a great campground nearby, and Hatchet Creek is a great whitewater spot nearby.
If you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Sylacauga is a good choice, and there's some attention-grabbing stuff to spot at H Kaul Dam near Kauls Lake.

I am planning a trip to Weogufka Creek in a couple of weeks. Any info. regarding trees down or other obstructions would be helpful. We will do County Rd. 15 to Low Water Bridge only....Put in at coosa county management 119 and get out at the bridge is a good short trip with lots of sights......
