Lakes are such serene sites, why not go to Hamilton Lake in close proximity to Jones Lake; during your visit here you'll meet some people from Auburn-Opelika for sure. A delightful location for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Jones Lake is Sougahatchee Creek. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Jones Lake has       to offer, you can camp at Chewacla State Park. Jones Lake commonly gets a great deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is regularly March, that's the one that rains the most, and October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful lake like Orr Estates Lake right next door to Jones Lake is a tremendous place to go to; after a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn & Suites Auburn Opelika is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two.                  There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Jones Lake. Playing golf is lots of fun at Rolling Hills Golf Course; hey, Nash Creek is a tremendous local stream. M M Jones Dam is not far at all from Jones Lake. There's so much to do here at Jones Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Leisure Time Campgrounds is a magnificent place for that. Through the long summer days at Jones Lake highs are generally in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows through the winter for Jones Lake tend to be in the 20's.
