     It's a great idea to visit Brush Creek, it's near Johnson Pond, and Flint Creek - East Fork is a great whitewater spot nearby. For the period of the summertime, highs generally are in the 90's at Johnson Pond with night lows in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Johnson Pond. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Johnson Pond, you could also stop at pretty English  
   Pond, and Johnson Pond is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, Northgate RV Travel Park is a fine spot to camp nearby.
If you need a location to stay Hampton Inn Decatur AL is a tremendous choice, and do put some time aside to spend at Bird Spring while you're here at Johnson Pond. So many cool things to do here at Johnson Pond, too splendid to be true. Swamps are interesting spots and Crabtree Slough near Johnson Pond is no exception, and next to Johnson
 
               Pond you hit upon a golf course called Cedar Ridge Golf Course. Morgan Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and Point Mallard Campground is a nice campground nearby.
Here at Johnson Pond you'll almost certainly meet some people from Decatur, and you can run the rapids of Mill Creek. Johnson Pond commonly gets a large amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. On a gorgeous day you obtain a vista of Cedar Mountain from Johnson Pond, and a glorious nearby hotel is La Quinta Inn Decatur.

This lake is now Sun Lake and is a private community lake for residents. It used to be one of the best public pay access lakes in the state for large bass.
