Johnson Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is August. Don't forget to take a great little visit to Kay Branch, and the view of gorgeous Bell Point is delightful. Shoal Creek has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Ditto Landing is always a tremendous experience, and if       you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cotaco Creek. Radisson Suite Hotel Huntsville is a fine site to get some rest, and a short visit to Laceys Spring is always worthwhile. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Johnson Pond, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Johnson                  Pond fall into the 20's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. People from Huntsville love to come to Johnson Pond, and a glorious site to camp here at Johnson Pond is Monte Sano State Park.
