This lake is so wonderful. John Jays Lake is right by the Payne Lake Nature Trail, and camping is available at Payne Lake Eastside Campground. John Jays Lake in fact is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. Summertime at John Jays Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and the nighttime       is rather colder of course, generally in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to John Jays Lake. A tremendous close by hotel is Days Inn Demopolis, and the scenery at John Jay Dam is pretty. A large amount of precipitation falls at John Jays Lake; most of the rain falls all through March, and September is the month with the least moisture.
