This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Warrior River - Calvert Prong of the Locust Fork, and Tom Robinette Lake is a great lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Country View RV Park is a pleasant campground nearby. After a long day outdoors Best Western Colonial Inn is a magnificent       location to spend a night or two, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Blackburn Fork Little Warrior River. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Jay Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 40's, and night lows at Jay Lake through the wintertime typically drop into the 20's. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Jay Lake. The                  summit of Cave Hill can be seen from Jay Lake, and right next door to Jay Lake you come across a golf course called Plantation Golf Club. If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a great choice, and Crump Gap is another pleasant site to stop by nearby. Jay Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls through March while October is usually the driest month. Do take a look at Tidwell Lake Dam since you're here at Jay Lake.
