If you're here at Jay Lake, you could take       a look at Blackburn Fork Little Warrior River, and there are other places here than Jay Lake, for example Tidwell Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Warrior River - Blackburn Fork offers some great whitewater. Jameson Inn Trussville is a great location to get some rest; Jay Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Country View RV Park is a pleasant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of                  Cave Hill can be seen from Jay Lake, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Colonial Inn is a great choice. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Warrior River - Calvert Prong of the Locust Fork; you need to stop at Pine Bluff while you're here. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Jay Lake has it all. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not have a look at Tom Robinette Lake near Jay Lake, and Plantation Golf Club is a good golf course close by.
