Jackson Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Camping at De Soto Caverns Park is always a nice experience, and a glorious close by hotel is Key West Inn-Childersburg. Laniers Mountain is a peak you can make out from Jackson Lake, and if you're visiting from Talladega-Sylacauga, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing       water? Try Fanning Branch, and a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Choccolocco Creek. Jackson Lake is a reasonably wet place ordinarily with much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March, and October is when it's the driest. Camping is available at Logan Landing Campground, and Meadows Golf Course is a golf course close by. Blue Spring is a wonderful spot to check out while you're at Jackson Lake; Killough Lake is a nearby lake that you                  could visit. Childersburg-Days Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest; do have a look at Lake Donahoo, it's a charming lake. High temperatures at Jackson Lake through the days of summer are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's while Jackson Lake night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 30's.
