Many people like to go to Jackson Lake. After a long day outdoors Best Western Auburn/Opelika Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two; Baker's Trailer Park and Campground is a great campground here. Jackson Lake is a wet location that gets much precipitation; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and October is the month with the least moisture. For the duration of the summer at Jackson Lake highs are frequently in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a wonderful nearby course is Rolling Hills Golf Course; get drenched paddling on Sougahatchee Creek.
