    Horseshoe Pond is a lake worth visiting. Having a good time at Horseshoe Pond is trouble-free. While you're here at Horseshoe Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Scottsboro; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Jones Creek. Lots of rain falls at Horseshoe Pond; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that rains the most while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
 
   For the duration of the summertime months at Horseshoe Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Horseshoe Pond temperatures dip to the 20's. Get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Coon Creek; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful.  
               Going for a hike along the Winding Stairs will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and while you're here, you might as well pop by Happy Hollow.
This lake is so wonderful. Econo Lodge & Suites is a great location to get some rest; Green Acres RVs Park is a tremendous local campground. If you came for an overnight stay Delaney's Travel Trailer Park is a magnificent place to camp; the summit of Dudley Pond Mountain can be distinguished from Horseshoe Pond. While you're here at Horseshoe Pond you should stop at Indian Point, and a tour to Russell Cave National Monument is recommended.
You could also go to Dudley Pond if you're here at Horseshoe Pond; it's close by, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the River Mont Cave Historical Trail.
