You can run the rapids of Flat Shoals River right next door to Hills Lake, and you're sure to encounter some smiling people from Valley here. Through the warmest time of the year here at Hills Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 90's, and the overnight is a little cooler of course, regularly in the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the       50's while Hills Lake overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 20's. Hills Lake generally gets a lot of precipitation; through March this area sees the most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. Why not camp at Blanton Creek Park while you're here at Hills Lake, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Lanett is a great spot to spend a night or two. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Riverside Country                  Club is around here, and a splendid nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Valley, Al. This lake is so wonderful. Do explore Smith Dam while you're here at Hills Lake, and Hill Lake is a brilliant lake nearby. Mulberry Creek is a brilliant whitewater spot close to Hills Lake.
