Timmons Dam is a place that is close to Hill Lake. There's so much to do here at Hill Lake that you need to camp here for a while, 3 Creeks RV Park is a glorious site for that. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Lanett. And that's not all you can do here at Hill Lake. Barrow Creek is a brilliant place to go to, and an afternoon playing golf at Riverside Country Club is always a joy.       The high level of rainfall makes Hill Lake a relatively wet place; most of the rain falls through March while October is regularly the driest month. Jones Lake is a good lake right next door to Hill Lake; if you need a place to stay Lanett-Days Inn is a nice choice. High temperatures at Hill Lake throughout the months of summer are in the 90's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the                  50's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Hill Lake drop into the 20's. Hill Lake is a spot with many visitors from Valley. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hill Lake has to offer, you can camp at Blanton Creek Park.
