    In Alabama there are many beautiful lakes, Helms Pond is one of them. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting things just keep reading. There's so much to do here at Helms Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Gantt Lake RV Park is a wonderful spot for that, and here at Helms Pond you can observe Red Wash Hill. Going for a hike on the Lake Shore Trail is always a great adventure, and there are other locations here than Helms Pond, for example  
   Salt Pond. Helms Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Point A Park Campground is a tremendous local campground, and Best Western Andalusia Inn is a pleasant site to get some rest.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Helms Pond a wet place; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is October. Summertime highs at Helms Pond usually tend to be in the 90's, and during the night it cools down
 
               to the 60's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 50's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Helms Pond temperatures plunge to the 30's.
Boggy Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth stopping at. Lakes? Sure, Gunters Pond is in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Andalusia; close by you find the Conecuh Trail which is a great hiking trail.

I think that the Fla. Division Of Forestry should put a stop to people saving sights for days with a small tent before parking their unit on the sight.  People are tuned away that could be utilizing these sights and enjoying our beautiful area.  I realize the division is still collecting the same money for the sight.  But it is agravating to drive through hoping to park your unit and find half or more sights saved with a small tent and no one in them....
