A visit to Harrelson Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Morehorn Spring. There's so much to do here at Harrelson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Leesburg Resorts is a nice site for that. Harrelson Lake generally gets a large amount of precipitation; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and October on the other hand is the driest. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend

| | Yellow Creek, and you don’t have to go far from Harrelson Lake to spot the water at Harrelson Dam. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Harrelson Lake. Dry warm beds await you at University Inn and Suites, and at Harrelson Lake you always meet someone from Anniston-Oxford. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Saddler Mountain can be spotted from Harrelson Lake; if you came to camp Bay Springs Campground is a splendid place to do that. | |

If you need a spot to stay Key West Inn Piedmont is a delightful choice, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Wolf Creek. All through the summer highs here at Harrelson Lake get into the 80's. When the night sets
in temperatures descend down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Harrelson Lake. While you're here at Harrelson Lake, you could also stop at beautiful Overton Lake, and Templeton Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful.
