     Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Alexander City, and Bow Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at. The high level of rainfall makes Hallmans Lake a rather wet place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is October. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great globe it would be. A delightful spot for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Hallmans  
   Lake is Elkahatchee Creek. There's so much to do here at Hallmans Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Whispering Springs Campground is a good site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something close to Hallmans Lake? Jones Pond is nearby, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Horseshoe Inn is a perfect choice.
Hallmans Lake is not the only site nearby, Brooks Farm Pond is a nearby lake; during your visit here you'll meet some
 
               folks from Talladega-Sylacauga for sure. You can run the rapids of Hatchet Creek close to Hallmans Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hallmans Lake has to offer, you can camp at Wind Creek State Park.
During the days of summer at Hallmans Lake highs are usually in the 90's, and the night is fairly cooler of course, ordinarily in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Hallmans Lake.

I am planning a trip to Weogufka Creek in a couple of weeks. Any info. regarding trees down or other obstructions would be helpful. We will do County Rd. 15 to Low Water Bridge only....Put in at coosa county management 119 and get out at the bridge is a good short trip with lots of sights......
