    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Alabama you can check out Gunters Pond. Gunters Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout March, and the driest month is October. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Andalusia Inn; there is a tremendous hiking trail nearby called the Lake Shore Trail.
If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Andalusia is a good choice, as expected you could also stop at Salt Pond if you're here;
 
   it's not far at all. There's so much to do here at Gunters Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Gantt Lake RV Park is a brilliant location for that, and Gunters Pond is not the only spot nearby, Helms Pond is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Point A Park Campground is a glorious spot to do that, and going for a hike on the Conecuh Trail is always a delightful adventure.

               high temperatures typically reach the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are generally in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Gunters Pond. I think that the Fla. Division Of Forestry should put a stop to people saving sights for days with a small tent before parking their unit on the sight.  People are tuned away that could be utilizing these sights and enjoying our beautiful area.  I realize the division is still collecting the same money for the sight.  But it is agravating to drive through hoping to park your unit and find half or more sights saved with a small tent and no one in them....
