     Very magnificent water scenery is available at Nolen Dam next to Gordans Pond, and of course, this is a magnificent vicinity for people who like lakes, Swan Lake is a lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. You're most likely addicted to lakes, Nolen Lake is one of those nearby; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Horseshoe Inn. Any time is a delightful time at Gordans Pond if you have a thing about the outdoors. Soar down the rapids of Elkahatchee Creek in  
   a kayak, and Comfort Inn Alexander City is a glorious spot to get some rest.
Gordans Pond usually gets much rain; March is the wettest month with most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. If you come at the right time of year, Hatchet Creek offers some wonderful whitewater, and a pleasant site to camp here at Gordans Pond is Whispering Springs Campground. Throughout the long summer days at Gordans Pond temperatures are frequently in the 90's
 
               with overnight lows in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and night lows at Gordans Pond through the winter regularly plunge into the 20's.
Near Gordans Pond you stumble on a golf course called Willow Point Golf and Country Club, and Gordans Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Wind Creek State Park is a delightful local campground.
