     Blue Spring is a nice local attraction; hey, Brakes Branch is a good local stream. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Goose Pond you find Leemon Slough, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Buckeye Pond. Just can't get enough of Goose Pond. Mill Creek is a good whitewater spot close to Goose Pond, and while you're here why not stop by Gillsport Bar. Why not camp at Point Mallard Campground since you're here at Goose Pond; from Goose Pond you  
   get a great vista of Turkey Mountain.
If you came for an overnight stay Northgate RV Travel Park is a delightful spot to camp, and if you need a site to stay Days Inn Priceville - Decatur is a perfect choice. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Flint Creek - East Fork, and Super 8 Motel Decatur Priceville is a perfect place to get some rest.
At Goose Pond during the summertime months highs
 
               are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows through the winter for Goose Pond tend to be in the 20's. The high level of precipitation makes Goose Pond a quite wet place; through March this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is August. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is now Sun Lake and is a private community lake for residents. It used to be one of the best public pay access lakes in the state for large bass.
