Gilland Lake is next to Huff Dam which is a lovely spot certainly worth taking a look at, and Bald Hill is easy to spot from Gilland Lake. Having a brilliant time at Gilland Lake is painless. After a long day outdoors Best Western Gadsden Hotel & Suites is a great place to spend a night       or two; camping at Horse Pens 40 Campground is always a great experience. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Etowah Conservation Lake; camping is available at Barclay RV Parking. A pleasant close by hotel is Best Western Colonial Inn; Gilland Gap is another tremendous site to explore nearby. The high level of rain makes Gilland Lake a pretty wet place; the month with most of the rain is March, and October meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is                  so wonderful. Gilland Lake is a spot with many visitors from Gadsden. For the duration of the days of summer at Gilland Lake highs are generally in the 90's, and the nighttime is a little colder of course, generally in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Gilland Lake.
