Go to George Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Here at George Lake you'll most likely meet some folks from Cullman, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Terri Pines Country Club is around here. Stay the night at Good Hope Campground, and swing by Adams Branch it's a tremendous spot to have a look at. Nearby Holmes Gap is a fine spot to go if you're at George Lake, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Flint Creek - East Fork.

| | The high level of rain makes George Lake a quite wet spot; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Mill Creek. Having a magnificent time at George Lake is painless. Summertime highs at George Lake generally tend to be in the 80's, and the night is a bit cooler of course, ordinarily in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in
the 20's to George Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not go to Lake George Dam while you're here, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cullman, Al is a splendid site to spend a night or two. A lake close
by is Lake Catoma, and George Lake is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Cullman Campgrounds is a magnificent place to camp nearby.
