Drift down the rapids of Sipsey Fork in a kayak, and SUPER 8 MOTEL - FLORENCE is a tremendous location to get some rest. Frost Pond frequently gets a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is December, and the driest month of the year is October. Paddling on Hubbard Creek/Sipsey Fork is so much fun, and the Braziel Creek Trail is a fine hiking trail       close by. At J W Mayhall Lake Dam close to Frost Pond there are some out of the ordinary things to see. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Frost Pond. Since you're here at Frost Pond why not pop by Buttram Gulf, and of course Basin Creek flows through this area. Dry warm beds await you at Wynnewood Inn, and Camp Mcdowell is a splendid campground nearby. Near Frost Pond you find the Borden Creek Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and                  Frost Pond is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Payne's RV Park is a wonderful place to camp nearby. At Frost Pond through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's.
