    If you are in Winston county it's always a good idea to stop by Frost Pond. There's wonderful hiking along the Borden Creek Trail, and a quick visit to Basin Creek is definitely a pleasant idea. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at SUPER 8 MOTEL - FLORENCE. This lake is so wonderful. Theo League Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and camping is available at Payne's RV Park.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Sipsey Fork, and a brilliant
 
   spot to camp here at Frost Pond is Camp Mcdowell. Frost Pond regularly gets lots of precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. For the duration of the days of summer here at Frost Pond, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Frost  
               Pond.
Be careful coming to Frost Pond, you might not ever want to go home again. Glide down the rapids of Hubbard Creek/Sipsey Fork in a kayak, and fine hiking is available along the Braziel Creek Trail. If you get bored of Frost Pond, you could also take a look at nearby Haleyville City Lake; a brilliant site to have a look at nearby is Buttram Gulf. If you need a place to stay Wynnewood Inn is a fine choice, and why not visit J W Mayhall Lake Dam since you're here.

The rest of the year can be high or low anytime....The land on each side of the creek is private property. Camping is not allowed. There is only an emergency exit easment on each side of the creek. If you camp you will be trespassing....
