     After a long day outdoors Courtyard Mobile Spanish Fort is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and there's some flowing water nearby, Bay Minette Creek is a stream you can go to while you're here. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Lauperouse Lake, and golf can be played at Timbercreek Golf Course. Summertime highs at Foxfire Lake usually tend to be in the 90's, and all through summer nights temperatures are  
   in the 70's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Foxfire Lake. Yancey Bay is an exciting swamp in the vicinity of Foxfire Lake, and Foxfire Lake Dam is a beautiful spot, absolutely worth going to.
Bay Minette Basin is a great place, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Mobile. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Justins Bay is in the vicinity. You'll
 
               wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Foxfire Lake. You are next to Cedar Point while you're here at Foxfire Lake; camping is available at OP Southern Estates.
Foxfire Lake generally gets a good deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Fairfield Inn & Suites Mobile Spanish Fort is a pleasant choice; a great site to camp here at Foxfire Lake is Abba Shrine Center RV Park.

The Dead Lake Lodge is now the River Delta Marina and Welcome Center. It was purchased by Mobile County and is ow operated by their Parks Dept.

Campsites, boat launch, rentals, and boat slip rentalas are available. The fishing in this remote bit of the Mobile/Tensas river delta is very good for bass, bream and catfish.
Access to excellent hunting for deer, wild hogs, ducks and small game can also be found along these waterways.

The campground has four camping cabins, RV and tent sites, laundry and a small pool. Limited groceries and bait are available at the camp store.

... bath! My Mom took me to the Mobile Infirmary emergency room. At that time my sister was either nursing or attending nursing school in Mobile. I think she must have made some calls and got Dr. DeBakey to come down to the emergency room to sew up my lip. I remember that someone place a green cloth over my face with a 3 or 4 inch circle in the middle of it. I received the most painful shot that I had ever had but soon all of the pain was gone. I could look down my nose and see them working on me and I remember how funny it felt to see them sewing me up and pulling on my face without really hurting. It was just a kind of pinching sensation. I got stitches in my lower lip and chin. We went to the dentist the following Monday and the dentist told my Mom if we still had the tooth he could put it back in and there was a chance that it would heal.
