There's always Boy Scout Lake Dam to stop at right next door to Essayons Lake, and you'll find a lovely lake called Gateway Lake. Essayons Lake is a pretty wet place commonly with a good deal of precipitation; March is       when you get the most rain here, and October on the other hand is the driest.
