Sure, Cooleys Pond is in close proximity, and after a long day outdoors SUPER 8 MOTEL - DOTHAN is a brilliant location to spend a night or two. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Middleton Lake, and camping is available at Clean Park. An afternoon playing golf at Green Hill Golf Course is always a delight, and tremendous water scenery is available at Ralph Martin Dam close to Dykes Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday       Inn DOTHAN-SOUTH is a perfect site to get some rest, and why not camp at Houston County Farm Center since you're here at Dykes Lake. Dykes Lake gets lots of water; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is October. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Dykes Lake while overnight lows are commonly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's; overnight lows in the 30's for Dykes                  Lake. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Dykes Lake has it all.
