A magnificent location to camp here at Dowdy Pond is Action On Blackwater Canoe Rental and Campground, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Blackwater Bay is right close by. Dowdy Pond gets a great deal of water; the wettest month of the year is commonly March, that's the one that rains the most; October meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you       at Days Inn, and why not camp at Point A Park Campground if you're here at Dowdy Pond. Alligator Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to; do take a hike on the Lake Shore Trail. Man, is there heaps of exciting things to do right next door to Dowdy Pond. For the period of the summer months here at Dowdy Pond, high temperatures generally reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are typically in                  the 50's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Dowdy Pond temperatures sink to the 30's.
