Try West Shoals Creek. A magnificent location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Double Ponds is Brushy Creek; Point Mallard Campground is a splendid campground nearby. Super 8 Florence is a tremendous site to get some rest, and people from Decatur love to come here. All through the warm days of summer, highs frequently are in the 90's       at Double Ponds. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Double Ponds tend to be in the 20's. But wait, there's more to do close to Double Ponds. Cattail Pond is a great lake next to Double Ponds, and a fine nearby hotel is Days Inn Moulton. This lake is so wonderful. A large amount of rainfall falls at Double Ponds; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
