Doss Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls all through March, and the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect swamp near Doss Lake is Leatherwood Slough, and The Victoria Country Inn is a pleasant location to get some rest. There's so much to do here       at Doss Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Country Court RV Park is a good place for that, and Indian Oaks Golf Course is a golf course close by. If you need a place to stay Royal Inn Motel is a tremendous choice, and Doss Lake is a place with many visitors from Anniston-Oxford. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Doss Lake reach the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in                  the 40's with temperatures at Doss Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Near Doss Lake you hit upon the Odum Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. This is a great vicinity for people who like lakes. Finks Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Cheaha Creek. Yeah, come here to Doss Lake for a great time.
