Havers Creek is close to Donner Lake and is always a diversion to visit, and a lake nearby is Welikee       Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Donner Lake is near Donner Dam which is a pretty place without doubt worth going to, and get covered with water paddling on Line Creek. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Donner Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs                  down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Donner Lake are in the 20's. The high level of precipitation makes Donner Lake a quite wet site; March is the month that gets the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture. Lots of people from Anniston-Oxford come to Donner Lake, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Black River.
