     You can run the rapids of Elkahatchee Creek in the vicinity of Denny Lake, and Comfort Inn Alexander City is a splendid site to get some rest. Do stop at Allen and Hall Reservoir Cobbs close to Denny Lake, it's a picturesque lake, and while you're here, you could go to Hackney Creek. High temperatures at Denny Lake through the summer are in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in  
   the 20's overnight here at Denny Lake. Miller Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit.
If only every place had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great planet it would be. There's so much to do here at Denny Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wind Creek State Park is a fine location for that, and lots of folks from Talladega-Sylacauga come here. Hatchet Creek is a great whitewater spot in close proximity to Denny Lake, and glorious water
 
               scenery is available at Osborne Dam right next door to Denny Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Denny Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Whispering Springs Campground is a glorious local campground; after a long day outdoors Best Western Horseshoe Inn is a delightful place to spend a night or two.
Denny Lake gets a large amount of water; March is when you get the most rain here; October meanwhile is the driest month.
